Fully trained parents!?

Yesterday we had the last session of the parenting course, so I guess this means we are now fully trained and know everything we need to know! Maybe not...

Had a checkup yesterday and everything still looks fine. The only cloud is that I have gotten a bit of pain in my back. Will try to stretch and see if it helps..

In the afternoon we went to the hospital and visited the labour ward. It is really nice to have seen it once before the big day. One unknown element less to worry about..

After the parenting class the whole group went out for a meal wich was really nice. I think we all have liked the course but most of the women anyway feel that we have heard or read most of it already. It feels like the main thing about the course is to get to know other people in the same situation.

Summer came and went

Since the last entry summer has come and gone. Last weekend we had lovely +22 degrees and actually got a bit of a tan. Since Tuesday it has dropped back down to about +3 - +10 degrees and we had to put the winter coats back on :-(

I (Vickan) am now working in the office in Uppsala wich is really nice! No more 3hr commutes a day, instead a nice 15 min walk to the centre of town. I just hope the summery weather will come back soon so I can enjoy having lunch along side the river with friends..

The bump has grown even more now.. Here is the latest picture:

Since last Dave "the handy man" Webber has also sorted out a new floor for the balcony and put together the baby's cot.

Tomorrow we have another check-up at the midwife and later in the afternoon we are visitig the maternity ward at the hospital (the ward where we will go when it is time to squeeze out the little piglet). It will be interesting to see what that is like..

Almost parents?

Since we came back from Luleå we have had one more checkup at the midwife. This time she took some more tests and everything is still looking good. The baby was lying with the head down, but not in a "fixed" position (don't know what you call it in English). The next checkup is on Monday.

We have now been to two sessions of the parenting course and it is really nice. We are 7 couples that are all having our first baby within a few weeks of each other. It is really nice to get to know people that are in the same situation as us. Today we got to see a film about the delivery of a baby. I must admit that I got a bit emotional ;-) I have felt pretty ready for the delivery but now I feel a bit more nervous again..

Took another bump-picture at Easter by the way:

We are back!

I have added a new photo album with pictures from our week off..

We also took the opportunity to finally scan the ultrasound pictures. The first one is from week 11 and the second one from week 17.
