Midsummer

For once we had some solid plans for Midsummer's and we were really looking forward to it. We were going with Anna and Patrik to "the island". Unfortunately I got ill last Saturday and this nasty virus still holds me in its grip so we had to cancel. Instead we went to a celebration in Hågelby park and it was really nice..

First came the fiddlers

Then people helped raise the pole

Tada!
Then the singing and dancing round the pole started but Elias didn't want to join in.

Instead he drove a red lorry.

And he did a really good job!

Birthday boy

On Saturday Elias turned 4 as you all probably know. I can't believe how big he is!!

In the morning he got most of his presents and the girls were very keen to help. He got a bike helmet from Auntie Anki.

But then of course he needed something to go with the helmet so the hunt began. He was pretty pleased with what he found...

Late in the evening it was finally time for the cake. One stubborn candle didn't want to be blown out but in the end that one went out too and we could dig in.
